During our senior year, we were assigned a project to take an existing poster and create a story and animation based on it. After doing some poster research, I landed on the "Speed Racer" (2008) poster by Matt Stevens. I was drawn to the retro design and the contrast between the dark background and the colorful race track. 
 

I decided to create an intense racing scene. I was inspired by the movie Tron for the music and scenes. I wanted to make it feel like an intense racing scene only to cut to an arcade, making the viewers realize it's just a video game. It was a lot of fun drawing the assets and bringing this project to life.
